Los Angeles Controller Ron Galperin is the taxpayers’ watchdog at City Hall, making sure public dollars are spent efficiently and effectively. He is also the elected paymaster, auditor and chief accounting officer for the City of Los Angeles.

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County (NLSLA) provides free civil legal assistance to low-income individuals and families. NLSLA has been responding to disasters in Los Angeles County since the 1971 Sylmar Earthquake, including the Northridge Earthquake and the Wildfires in the past 4 years. NLSLA assists disaster survivors with a number of legal issues including, but not limited to, FEMA, unemployment (including Disaster Unemployment Assistance), DPSS benefits, medical insurance, landlord-tenant problems, and mobile home issues.
